Samantha Hinds

Samantha Hinds is Editor in Chief of Fortnight Journal, an online documentary project. Fortnight provides a multimedia platform for new work in established fields and connects its young contributors to mentors. Patti Smith, U.S. Senator Max Cleland and Marian Bantjes have all served Fortnight as mentors since Hinds co-founded the publication in 2010.
ICTJ is an international NGO that works to redress serious human rights violations committed during an authoritarian regime or armed conflict. Hinds’ work at ICTJ focused on human rights documentation, historical memory and outreach to policymakers and civil society groups in over 30 countries.
Hinds’ research interests include memory, impunity and cultural production at the intersection of art and politics.
